Events you cannot afford to miss….

04 May 2017      Emma Keenan, Procurement Specialist

At HEPA we want to make it as easy as possible for you to receive appropriate information to help you in your role and achieve CPD points. We aim to provide useful and topical news articles, links to reputable sources of advice or information and online/e- learning. We understand that budgets to attend face to face learning are limited, however, we also know that networking with and learning from peers, as well as having the opportunity to liaise with a trainer directly is invaluable. I wanted therefore to highlight some upcoming really useful events which will ensure an excellent return on investment:

COUP.  The Conference on University Procurement occurs biennially in September and is the biggest procurement event in the calendar. Featuring a huge supplier exhibition, a vast array of seminars from excellent speakers, and an extended opportunity to network with colleagues - if you only attend one conference, this is the one to go to! It's on the 5th-7th September in Swansea, details here.

PMA Participants day.  For all those who have undertaken a PMA, are thinking about one, or just want to improve an aspect of your procurement function, this day will be vital. The event, held in the easy to access Woburn House in central London, features workshops delivered by range of universities, covering category management, collaboration, CSR, supplier strategy and policy, as well as governance, organisation, resources and skills. For full information and to book please click here.

Developing an Eye for Accuracy. A one day investment in time will bring participants a 60% reduction in errors and a 7% increase in processing speed. I don’t think I need to write any more about this one! Details and booking information can be found here – be quick though, there are only 5 spaces left.
