24 November 2020 Ashley Shelbrooke, HEPA and Project Specialist
By very popular demand we are incredibly pleased to welcome Mark Williamson, Partner, Clyde & Co. for a time to talk covering Privacy Shield on 14 December at 10AM.
Mark specialises in tech, data and outsourcing, and will present a 30-minute session on the recent Schrems II case, which invalidated the US Privacy Shield and placed a greater onus on individual organisations when transferring personal data outside of the EEA. The session will provide you with a summary of the Schrems II case and its importance, its impact on the higher education sector and practical steps the higher education sector needs to take to take account of the case.
No prior knowledge of the case is necessary in order to attend – all will be explained on the day!
As ever, places are free for HEPA members and you can book yours here.
Please do feel free to share this session with colleagues within your institution who you feel may benefit from attending.
