CDP Data Discovery - Survey to Contracting Authorities

12 November 2024      Ashley Shelbrooke, HEPA and Project Specialist

The Cabinet Office have kicked off the CDP Data Discovery, which is set to span the next 10 weeks.  The Data Discovery provides the opportunity for users of the CDP to feed in their requirements, to help define the reporting and analytical capabilities enabled by CDP and the legislative requirements of the new Procurement Act.  Specifically, the Data Discovery will look to understand:

  • Detailed requirements on data needs across commercial teams, buyers, suppliers, and the general public; and
  • What data and reporting products the Cabinet Office need to develop to ensure these needs are met.

The Cabinet Office have now launched an initial requirements gathering survey for Contracting Authorities, followed by targeted interviews and workshops in late November and early December.

Survey

The link to the survey is here.  The survey should only take 10-15 minutes to complete. Engagement from Contracting Authorities will ensure that their data and reporting requirements are included in the future development work on the CDP data platform, which is planned to commence in February 2025.  The deadline for completion is close of play 26 November.
