Ashley Shelbrooke, HEPA and Project Specialist
HEPA are working with a team of researchers, led by Queen Mary University of London, who are investigating the use of social procurement by universities, local authorities and housing associations to advance equality in employment.
The team are running a short survey about the inclusion of social and equality considerations in public procurement.
HEPA is supporting the research because it will be helpful to know more about how procurement is being used to drive equality and social value in our sector. The researchers are intending to produce guidance in the form of a toolkit on how to effectively incorporate social and equality aims in procurement, which we hope will be a valuable tool for members.
The survey will take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete and the deadline is Friday 16 September. The team are seeking responses from members across England, Wales and Scotland.
More information about the Buying Social Justice project can be found here.
If you have any questions about the survey or the project, please contact the project lead Professor Tessa Wright t.wright@qmul.ac.uk or project researcher Dr Joyce Mamode j.mamode@qmul.ac.uk.
