Letters to NI businesses: new processes for moving goods from 1 Jan 2021

HMRC have issued two letters:

Letter to VAT-registered businesses in Northern Ireland that do not trade with the EU and/or the rest of the world (September 2020) – this advises business to sign-up for the Trader Support Service, which will help with movements of goods to/from Great Britain

Letter to VAT-registered businesses in Northern Ireland who trade with the EU and/or the rest of the world (September 2020) – again this advises business to sign-up for the Trader Support Service.  It states within the letter that “Trade in goods between Northern Ireland and Ireland will be unaffected. There will be no change at the border, no new paperwork, and no tariffs or regulatory checks.”
